Media Literacy Program

The BCCS Media Literacy: Culture and Leadership Series will empower students to critically examine the messages presented in mainstream media while analyzing their impact on communities of color. Participants will be challenged to explore a variety of issues that exist within their school and the broader community and assess the rich legacy of community-based leadership. Sessions will emphasize the importance of drawing on a history of resilience, courage and sense of responsibility to confront contemporary problems.
